IMessages shifting to sms or not going at all
Suddenly messages to other iphones are going sms, not imessage. Some messages aren’t going at all. How can I fix this?
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 26.6
- Make sure you do not have VPN installed.
- Make sure you are signed into your Apple Account.
- Make sure iMessage is turned on and you do not have any activation errors at Settings > Apps > Messages
- Make sure you have Cellular Data turned on at Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data.
- If connected to Wifi, restart your router or check connectivity by opening a Safari page to see if it loads.
