To fix message search not working on your iPhone 14 Pro or 12 Pro while it works on your iPad, reset the Spotlight index. Go to Settings > Siri & Search > Messages, turn off all toggles, restart your phone, and turn them back on. This forces iOS to rebuild the stuck search database.
