Exactly what make and model printer are you trying to install?
If this is an AirPrint compatible printer then there is no driver to add.
Simply follow the instal guidance that came with the printer.
Print wirelessly from your Mac to your printer - Apple Support (CA)
Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac - Apple Support (CA)
Are you receiving notifications that a printer driver will no longer be supported on the future?
Please tell us the brand and model number of the printer involved. Newer printers support wireless printing (AirPrint) and do not require a driver.
