MagSafe cable not charging MacBook Pro when used with Mophie Speedport 120

For the past several years, I've been using the Mophie Speedport 120 as my primary charger with both my MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021) and all of my other Apple devices. I've been plugging the MagSafe cable that came with my MacBook Pro into the 100-W USB-C port of the Speedport 120, and it has worked just fine. Recently, though, the MagSafe cable has not been working to charge my Mac: The LED flashes and the computer continuously connects and disconnects. I have cleaned the MagSafe port on my MacBook Pro and on the MagSafe connector on the cable itself. I have also verified that the MagSafe cable works to charge my Mac when connected to the USB-C port on the power adapter that came with the computer.

Has there been some sort of firmware update that prevents using MagSafe cables with third-party adapters? Or is there some other reason anyone can think of why the MagSafe cable isn't working when plugged into the Mophie Speedport 120? While I can still use a plain-old USB-C charging cable with the Speedport to charge my Mac, I would prefer to use MagSafe for the added security. Thoughts?

Are you simultaneously charging any other devices from the Mophie SpeedPort 120 Power Adapter? If yes, try disconnecting the other devices so as to verify charging behaviour of your connected Mac computer.

Your SpeedPort 120 and Mac will be using USB PD (Power Delivery) to negotiate the PD power profile (i.e. charging voltage and current) supplied by the Power Adapter. Other devices that are simultaneously connected to the SpeedPort 120 will impact the selected power profile - and with it, the power provided to the Mac.

The SpeedPort 120's selected power profile is seemingly common to all three of its USB-C outlets. When connecting or disconnecting devices, the PD-controlled outputs may be interrupted as the applied power profile (common to all three USB-C outlets) changes. Only the USB Type-A outlet uses a fixed 5V charging output.

Also note that the SpeedPort 120 cannot simultaneously provide maximum rated power to all of its charging outlets. Available power as apportioned between the connected devices.

As the Mac's PD charge controller is in part software controlled, system software updates may have some impact upon observed behaviour. Speaking of personal experience with the SppedPort 120 (of which I have two), connected devices (such as iPad and iPhone) may unexpectedly "chime" as charging is briefly interrupted when connected devices reach a state of full charge - a state that seems to trigger re-negotiation of the PD power profile.

The MagSafe works with the original power adaptor that came with the computer. It does not work with the Mophie Speedport 120. I would conclude that there is something no longer working 100% properly in the Mophie device, since all original Apple equipment still works for that Mac.

Note that power adaptors (like the Mophie) are active devices and are more prone to failure than passive devices.

I would believe that the Mophie charger is either damaged or malfunctioning, except that I experience no issues with charging using the same charger via a USB-C charge cable. In addition, I'm having the same issue with another third-party adapter: I used to be able to charge my MacBook Pro using the Sharge Retro Mac adapter via the MagSafe cable with no problems, but now it's also flashing and intermittently disconnecting from power when I plug in my MacBook Pro. And just like the Mophie brick, I have no issues charging with a USB-C charging cable.

It really feels like something has changed with my MacBook Pro when it comes to the MagSafe cable and third-party adapters, but I can't find any documentation of this anywhere.
