Pages: Prevent text from using hidden footer space on first page

When hiding footers on the first page of a section in Apple Pages, how do you prevent another line of text from taking up the footer space at the beginning of that section? Thanks!

The document margins and header/footer settings apply to the whole document, not by section. When you hide the footer on the first section page, minimal (e.g. 0 - 0.25 in) document bottom margin settings allow body text to invade the hidden footer area. On subsequent section pages, where the footer is present, it simply juxtaposes the body text above the footer box.

Look at your document bottom margin setting and increase it.
