Hi everyone!
Right before plugging the cable in my MBA, I accidentally dropped the magsafe cable tip in my coffee. I got it out as quick as I could to let it dry.
Should I buy a new cable ?

If it was plain black coffee, it's probably fine. If the coffee had milk and/or, worse, sugar, you might want to clean it with some alcohol before using it.

So is your expensive MBA worth risking damage from a possibly shorted out cable that costs $49? Just asking.
I let it dried after cleaning the tip qui rubbing alcohol.
Now it works !

You might also check to confirm that your Mac appears to be communicating properly with the power adaptor. (i.e. thru the “dipped” connector):
With your power adaptor powered and connected to your Macbook:
“Apple” -> System Setting -> General -> System Report
Then within in the System Report:
Hardware -> Power -> AC Charger Information
You should see approx 10-lines of detailed adaptor hardware data communicated from your power adaptor.

Then, as long as it didn't actually soak in the coffee and it's dry, I agree with everyone else that it should be fine.

Jack Daniels, which I do consider crap bourbon... Even so, I consider it alcohol abuse.
I'm actively trying to hunt down a bottle of New Riff... Apparently a $40 bottle that was just voted world's best.
Well, cleaning is about the only civilized use of Jack Daniels, so there IS that.
yeah, I read about New Riff, but I’m in NC, so the odds of seeing it anytime soon are slim. But I’m visiting the oldest in Denver early next month and hoping I might have some luck there.

Do check on things as suggested, and keep an on it. Sometime water damage can manifest itself later. Hopefully you are in the clear.
