Note that, while you are free to submit feedback and suggestions at the link ckuan provided, Apple will not answer any questions you submit there. They read and log the feedback but they do not respond.

Though no one here can definitively answer "why" Apple does what it does, design changes are often just to do something visually new. The Liquid Glass interface redesign, for example, doesn't change how the phone works; it just makes it look different.

OK. That's good. I hope you realize Apple won't respond to your question about whatever it is you're questioning the logic of the function which you say was relocated. Would you care to tell us what function it is you're questioning?
