Replacement for Adobe Pro for MacAir
I have a 2022 MacAir and want to know the best alternative for Adobe Pro as the cost is prohibitive. Use it frequently for my writing and docsign for contracts.

I also use PDF Expert and liked it enough to get a subscription, which is a fraction of what Adobe Acrobat Pro costs.
You might also look into PDFGear which is available through the App Store and is free.

Without knowing specifically what features you need, it's hard to make a recommendation. The native Preview app allows you to sign documents. Macs can print to PDF natively.
If you want to be able to edit PDFs, you might look at PDF Expert. It has a lifetime license for $139. It's made by Readdle, a software company I've really liked. I pay for their email program, Spark, because I like it that much better than Apple's Mail.

Have you moved to a new computer? If so, contact the Developer (Adobe), and request a new code. I know Microsoft does it; not certain about Adobe, though. Microsoft said to me "You own this license."

I think the problem is that these days, Adobe only offers Adobe Acrobat Pro as "subscription" (rental) software. Acrobat Pro costs $239.88 USD per year for an individual, if billed annually, which means that if you used it for 5 years and the price didn't go up, you'd be paying about $1200 USD. The price for business users is a bit higher.
