How do I sign out of a locked Apple Account on my device?

My account is locked and Apple has denied my request to unlock it. So I need to sign out of my device, but the problem is I can’t enter my password - It’s not accepted because my account is locked - there’s a logout error. How do I remove this account from my phone so that I could enter a new account?

Request Apple remove it by providing proof of ownership. Typically in the form of an original purchase receipt of the device new from an authorized reseller. https://al-support.apple.com/#/additional-support and https://al-support.apple.com/#/al/agreement

You might be able to submit an Activation Lock support request, as per the "If you can’t regain access to your Apple Account" section of

If your Apple Account is locked, not active, or disabled - Apple Support

It looks like if Apple approves your request, they will erase all of the data on your device. And if your Apple Account is permanently locked, presumably you won't be able to restore iCloud backups or synchronized data.

Getting Back Into this Device:

Did Apple provide you with a reason as to why they will not unlock this? If a used device, or marked as stollen, then granting you permission to a still-signed in device would be a legality concern on Apple's end, without a warrant.
