Apple Pencil Pro tip not working on iPad

If your Apple Pencil Pro responds to gestures like squeezing or double-tapping but the tip will not write or draw, the issue is usually a loose tip, a software glitch, or a disconnected Bluetooth pairing state. 

Check and Tighten the Tip

• Unscrew and inspect: Gently twist the plastic tip counterclockwise to remove it.
• Look for debris: Check inside for any dirt or damage to the tiny internal screw-post.
• Re-tighten: Twist it back clockwise until it feels firmly snug, but do not overtighten it or you might break it. The tip must make full contact with the internal sensor to register writing. 

Ensure that the user-replaceable Pencil tip is snugly screwed into position; when fitted correctly you should see a tiny gap, of about the thickness of a sheet of paper, between the tip and pencil body. If slightly loosened, or overtightened, the Pencil may not work properly, if at all.
