Update followed by liquid charger warning

Just did an update on my iPhone 12 Pro 26.6.1 Now I’m getting a warning that liquid is detected in my charger. My husband is also getting the same warning. Anyone else experiencing this?

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 26

Nope. No issues on any of our devices, updated to iOS 26.6.1. None that I'm aware of with anyone else I know either and I'm the go to guy for all things Apple to all of my friends and family. If this was a significant issue or one caused by an update, this forum would be blown up with people complaining, but it's not. The tech press would be all over such an issue and it would make the evening news, but they're not.

That doesn't mean you don't have an issue, so try a Forced Restart, but if it doesn't help, you'll want to have your phone tested at the Apple Store Genius Bar.

Force Restart --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Genius Bar Reservation --> Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

Are you using Genuine Apple charging cords or at least MFi Certified cables? If you aren't, I would try new cables to see if that helps your situation.

Well, all things Apple lol I’ve searched the forum and this has been an issue for the past six years……. There is nothing wrong with my phone. It was operating just fine before this update and kind of odd that my husband is getting the exact same message. Coincidence I don’t think so. For anybody experiencing this issue I restarted my phone turned airplane mode on and off tried the charger again and I haven’t had any issues.

Great. Then it wasn't an iOS update as I suggested. If it was a restart wouldn't fix an update caused issue. FYI, I do a Force Restart immediately after EVERY iOS update and have never had an updated caused issue. I'm glad you didn't have one either. And you're welcome, btw!
