Wired USB-C Apple earphones not connecting to iPhone and iPad

Wired apple earphones (USB-C) will not connect to my iPhone (16 pro max) nor my iPad, but in every other device they work.

I used two wired apple earphones and neither of them worked on the phone and the iPad but both work on every other device like my laptop, others’ phones etc.

I’ve reset my settings, cleaned the port, restarted my devices, updated to latest IOS and still my earphones will not connect to either of my devices.

is this a software bug?

What do I do?
