dog ate part of card

I got a 100$ gift card and opened it set it on table the dog got i can't read the numbers can i use the numbers they scan to ring it up to get it replaced i still have the receipt

iPhone 15 Plus, iOS 26

According to Apple:

If you can't read the code on the back of your card because it's scratched or damaged, contact Apple Support. ←💳


You might need to provide:

  • An image of the full front and back of your card.
  • A sales receipt showing when your card was purchased.
  • The serial number from your card.

Exactly why gift cards should be redeemed as quickly as possible onto your account. (For safekeeping)


Until the card is redeemed, any remaining value is subject to being entirely lost by: Physical loss of the card, damage to the card, or compromise of the card’s code.
