Why is my trackpad unable to right click ?

Exactly which Mac model and year are you using? And which macOS version?

Click the Apple menu  > About This Mac to find that info.


Have you restarted the computer lately?

Did you check the Trackpad settings in System Settings (or System Preferences)? In particular look at the Secondary click setting.

Change Trackpad settings on Mac – Apple Support (UK)


Have you added any software lately, like anti-virus, security, cleaning or optimizing apps?

If so, uninstall those and reevaluate the problem.
