AirPods 4 charging case Find My sound pending

Subject: AirPods 4 ANC Find My and Charging Case Sound Issue

Hello Apple Support,

I have AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation. My AirPods connect normally to both my iPhone and MacBook via Bluetooth.

However, I am having an issue with the Find My feature. When I try to play a sound, it shows:

“Sound Pending”

“You will receive a notification when this accessory connects to a paired device.”

I want to know how I can properly set up Find My so that I can locate my AirPods and especially the charging case if it gets lost, even when it is not currently connected to my iPhone.

Please help me check whether my AirPods 4 ANC and charging case are correctly configured for Find My Network and whether there is any setup issue with my Apple Account or AirPods.

However, I have a problem with the Find My feature and my charging case.

When I try to play a sound to locate my AirPods, it shows “Sound Pending” and says that the sound will play when the accessory connects to a paired device.

My main question is: Why can't my AirPods 4 ANC charging case play a sound separately when it is lost or not connected to my iPhone?

For example, if I have both AirPods with me but I lose only the charging case somewhere in my house or at another location, how can I locate the charging case and make it play a sound?

Please check whether my Find My setup is correct and whether my AirPods 4 ANC charging case is properly configured for Find My Network.
