Unable to locate the change password option on a child account in Family Share group, now what?

Ultimately. I am trying to reset my 13 yo child's Apple ID password using the family share as the organizer, however there is not a change password option tied to my child's apple id in the family share group so how do I reset it? Anything I have found in this community talks about selecting the child's profile in the family share, select the child's Apple Account, and then change the password but that isn't an option in the family share and is greyed out on the child's device. His phone is also managed by a 3rd party parental app OurPact. I am trying to set up a mac for him tied to his apple ID but am stuck in this continual loop receiving messages on the mac about possibly having to wait using the account recovery period.
