I cannot create a fingerprint for my Apple Magic keyboard.

I have an Apple Magic keyboard that I bought last month. I have a brand new M4 Mac Studio that arrived and I completely set up 2 days ago.

I am trying to create a fingerprint for the keyboard, but quickly double pressing the power button doesn't do anything!

Last month when I got the keyboard I had the same result when I tried to create a fingerprint with my M1 Mac mini.

I have tried the solutions offered by leroydouglas here, to no avail.

Has anyone successfully setup a fingerprint? Is this a bug in macOS?

Any help would be appreciated.

To set up Touch ID, your Mac requires a physical intent confirmation via a wired USB-to-Lightning/USB-C connection and a direct hardware handshake, rather than relying on a pure wireless Bluetooth prompt. This behavior affects multiple desktop models like the Mac mini and Mac Studio.

I plainly stated that I followed leroydouglas' solutions offered in the linked topic. Had you checked out the link before posting you would know that I already did what you are now proposing again.
