Missing Hearing Assistance option for AirPods Pro 3

I bought new Apple AirPods Pro 3 (A3063) and can't figure out how to set up the Hearing Assistance feature.

According to this documentation, Use the Hearing Aid feature on your AirPods Pro 2 or AirPods Pro 3 - Apple Support (CA), I have to "Tap Hearing Assistance".

But this menu item does not exist on my AirPods menu on my iPhone. See attached screenshot.

Can someone tell me how to find this menu item?

I'm using iOS 26.6.1 on an Apple iPhone 13 mini.

Missing Hearing Assistance Option for AirPods Pro 3:

First off...

A. Verify your this is an Option in your Location:

As of this thread, this may not be an option in the County/Region of your Apple Account.

  1. Go here: Countries or Regions where the Hearing Aid Feature is Available - Apple Support
  2. As it Reads: "See feature below to see if it’s supported in your region."
  3. Scroll to: Hearing Test feature1
  4. Verify: that your is NOT listed

If not an option...

B. Recommend this to Apple:

Do your Part: It is important that you provide feedback on this to Apple.  Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what their customers' needs are, and what needs to be vitally fixed.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - AirPods - Apple
  2. Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this needs to be an option in your area. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

Updates:

A. Update your AirPods:

Go Here: About Firmware Updates for AirPods - Apple Support

The only way AirPods can be updated is through a device that itself is connected to the Internet. AirPods cannot be updated in standalone, as they are never assigned an IP Address (because they are not assigned to a network). Having paired these, they'd already have updated.

B. Restart your iPhone:

You should to do same after updating every device. Being installing an update, you should back up your device so that you can have something to recover it from, should anything go won in the process. Once updated, restart it. So, save what need beta and then perform the restart. Go here: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

"I did. I said they should put the explanation of why the menu item is missing in the documentation, or include the menu item but have a message on the iPhone saying "this feature is not available in your region". This is what an experienced UI designer would do, not just hide it with no explanation and leave the documentation as if it exists."

Reporting this:

Without providing you location on these forums, perhaps the federal government can have the aptitude to make this occur. So, if providing them with feedback is something to consider, given it is an option. I'd assume it is financial financial agency.
