Error launching Mac App Store application on iMac running macOS 10.13.6

Has anyone received these or similar error messages when trying to launch an application bought from the Mac App Store?

I've been using this application at least weekly for the last 7.5 years including last week. But when I launched iy today I got the error. The second was after I had entered my Apple ID password. Just in case I have CHANGED the password.

This is on a 2011 iMac maxed out at MacOS 10.13.6

A couple of things in play here. Your iMac is officially listed as OBSOLETE for support purposes. It is not at all out of the question that the application version has followed suit (iFinance5 is out there, nothing about a version 4). At a minimum, the machine is 13 years old.

It is highly likely you wIll see more of this sort of thing with that machine. Time for a technology upgrade.

Actually that is ANOTHER problem I'm fighting getting the replacement iMac up and running. iFinance 4 worked fine on it today as I set it up on the new iMac no supposed MAS error code. The MAIN problem I'm having with the new iMac is that that abortion Apple Music app refuses to import my iTunes library! It only accepted about 900 of the almost 7,500 songs in the library.
