Do Not Disturb keeps switching on unexpectedly on iPhone 17 Pro Max

Why does Do Not Disturb keep switching itself on outside of the schedule I set??

It's driving me crazy as I've missed several important calls because I didn't notice it had happened. Does anyone know if theres a fix being worked on? I do have it set to share focus across all my devices and I just tried to turn that off and it wouldn't switch off. Any ideas why?? I've also tried to delete the DND from the Focus options, it doesn't seem to have the option to do that either.

All advice gratefully received.

I literally just updated the phone to iOS 26.6.1, I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max and as you can read above, the DND is scheduled (usually for overnight as I have friends/family around the world)

To fix Do Not Disturb turning on unexpectedly on your iPhone 17 Pro Max, you likely need to address a locked Lock Screen link or an iCloud sync glitch. Since you recently updated to iOS 26.6.1, certain settings may have become corrupted or stuck.

Try this

Lock your iPhone, then wake up the screen.

Press and hold your finger on the Lock Screen for 1–2 seconds until the wallpaper gallery opens.

Look at the bottom of your active wallpaper. If it says Do Not Disturb (or shows a crescent moon icon), tap it.

Tap the selected Focus mode again to unlink it from that wallpaper entirely.

Ok, thanks. Still doesn't explain why it keeps randomly turning on. Although admittedly I haven't noticed it do it since I installed iOS26.6.1. Maybe it was an issue that got fixed in that update?

Hopefully, it was something that was fixed by updating.

I would point out that, in the past, having a focus linked to a custom screen has caused problems for some people. Not only does enabling the focus switch to that screen, but apparently, switching to that screen manually can trigger the focus. I don't have enough data to know if that was intentional or a bug.

Hopefully you're right! I'll make sure I manually switch it on in future when I need it instead of having it scheduled.
