i Just got a new phone a iPhone 14 and I don’t have a phone number so I’m trying to download instagram it says this apple account has not yet been used in the iTunes Store I’m so confused why do I need iTunes to download instagram ?

On the iPhone go to Settings ➜ Account ➜ Media & Purchases ➜ View Account and make sure a payment method has been added to it and has been correctly verified.

The ability to complete an app purchase on the App Store requires a functioning payment method.
