Trouble renaming images in a Mac folder after adding new ones

Hi

I have recently exported 800 images from photo to a folder on my Mac, I now have added two more images to the folder, the problem is, I put the two new images in specific locations amongst the 800. When I try to rename the folder images, the two new images crop up as image 1, and image 2, (which is not what I want, what I am looking for is for example, A&B - 1 jpeg etc)

I added the images to the folder as icons.

Any help with renaming this folder will be greatfully recieved.

Thank you

iMac 21.5″, macOS 15.7

It will help if you provide specific examples ...

Filenames of a few existing images ... and what you want their new names to be

Filenames of the two "new" images ... and what you want the new names to be

For bulk file renaming, I find it best to use a utility like A Better Finder Rename. It has all sorts of renaming capabilities and can even do multi-step renames. I use it all the time to rename imported image files.
