Logic Pro audio input device reverts to Mac mini speaker when selecting Metric Halo interface

In LP I cannot change the settings/Audio/Input Device (output is fine) to Metric Halo interface - I can change the input to anything else, but when I select MH- it immediately reverts to Mac mini speaker (yes for input)

Anyone else experience this.... (no issues in LP 11 or 10 ect...or other DAW's.)

Currently I cannot use LP as I cannot record via interface...

Specs/setup...

Mac Mini M4 pro (14core) w/ 10gb ethernet

3x OWC Thunderbolt 3 docks (I have alot of USB and have had issues with hubs... esp for control surfaces). 0 issues using these docks.

Tahoe 26.6.2

Logic Pro 12.3.1

ULN-8 (primary) 2882 (secondary) - via ethernet

SSL control surfaces

Attemps to fix:

Reboot/shutdown many times

Swapped ULN-8 Ethernet connection to dock and M4 NIC's and vise versa

reinstall MIO and LP

LP-delete preferences and Control surface setup

LP-I have deselected the unused SSL midi inputs not in use.

---nothing has fixed it....

Mac mini, macOS 26.6

Yup - 2's company - 3's a crowd.

LP cannot correctly use audio devices with more than 2 thunderbolt docks attached.

My other DAW's have no problems....

I did add it recently and thought I had used LP w/ interface as inputs since but I guess not...

Have you contacted the Metric Halo Support folks for guidance?

Consider disconnecting all but the most necessary interface elements – MH interface and (?) – while you focus on getting this interface to work with Logic. Perhaps there is something about your 3x OWC docks or other connected peripherals that is causing some interference.

If you are connecting the MH interface through a dock, try connecting it directly to the Mac.

Yes posted to MH forum.

Have tried both thru dock and direct to Mac. This started after opening a LP file from a friend (trusted). It was working fine prior. Tried a new session... same. There were no updates in between it working and not working. And all other DAW's are fine either dock or direct. Its very odd.... also worked fine in LP 11 but now even that does it......

Yeah prolly time to disconnect everything to see.
