DuckDuckGo reloads Yahoo.com on iPad

This problem just started yesterday and I have tried different ways to resolve it.

(Clearing the cache, which I do frequently, anyway, and trying to remove and download apps).

I have 2 iPads — a 9th generation and a 7th generation mini. I use DuckDuckGo as my main browser.

When I download Yahoo.com it keeps reloading, that is, the page keeps flipping. This doesn’t occur with other browsers such as Firefox or Chrome. In addition, this doesn’t occur on my Kindle Fire tablet or my HP Windows laptop. DuckDuckGo does fine opening other websites, such as CNN, so why does it keep reloading Yahoo, and only on my Apple tablets?

Note that I am using the latest version of DuckDuckGo, and I just updated my mini, which had no effect. The 9 gen iPad wasn’t updated, however, it acts like the updated mini in continually reloading the yahoo.com page.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is suddenly occurring on my iPads?

Thanks.

KT,

Thanks for the prompt to report the issue to DDG.

A few minutes after I reported the problem with Yahoo!, Morgan from DDT messaged me that she experienced the same behavior and had relayed the issue to DDG engineering. The issue was resolved a few hours later.

I'm thoroughly impressed with DDG's responsiveness to this problem. It's so rare these days to have companies pay attention to their customers / users that my mind feels a little blown at the moment.

Many thanks to everyone who responded. I attempted to apply Kilgore-Trout’s suggestion, but I used the DDG website and I got as far as “Site blocked or didn’t load”, but it didn’t allow me to add details. Then I thought, maybe I should have entered this from Yahoo’s page, so I went to their page, and guess what, it seems to be working now. I didn’t mention that before I posted on the Apple Community site (you were my last resort!) I did find a Yahoo complaints page which allowed me to describe what was happening, but as someone noted (sorry, but I can’t locate your name/response, but I appreciate it all the same), I thought that my message would end up in the “dead letter box”. Cbeisner, I haven’t had problems with Youtube, maybe because DDG gives you the option of viewing the video on either DDG’s player or directly from Youtube.

Once again, much obliged to everyone who responded.
