Flex Pitch markers not cutting in Logic Pro 12.3.1 on M2 Mac mini

Cutting Flex Pitch Markers in Logic Pro 12.3.1 running on a M2 Mac mini 2023.

Hello! Here is what happens. It only started happening recently. I used to cut flex pitch markers all the time.

-Toggle on Flex pitch for an independent audio track. It's not in a take folder or in a track stack of any kind.

-Logic analyses the audio and in every region on the track I see squares (markers) and the white line pitch curve.

-Holding the command key, I hover the scissors tool over one of the markers and click to cut the marker.

-The marker does not split as anticipated. The aspect of the region changes.

-Sometimes another marker appears on the left end of the region.

-"Undo insert pitch marker" shows in the undo steps.

- I reanalyse the region and repeat. The marker does not cut.

Any suggestions or fixes?
