Your Apple Account has been disconnected from Microsoft Outlook apps and services

Got this in an email from Apple - a week or so back

"Your Apple Account has been disconnected from Microsoft Outlook apps and services

If you want to keep using iCloud Mail, Contacts and Calendar in Microsoft Outlook apps and services, you will need to re-authorise access to your Apple Account. Learn more.

Sincerely,

Apple Support"

I have no idea what this means and what i am losing access to…. have used Outlook for mail and cloud access on both apple iPad/iPhone etc and MS Windows 11 successfully for years until this message.

Have looked at the 'Learn More' link [Access your iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts in third-party apps - Apple Support ] ref 121539 and it could just as easily be in Klingon -

Not clear if i need to authorise the app in Windows or iOS, on which device(s) etc . Has anyone else had this message and able to simplify actions required and to what technology/Accounts.

Thanks for any input...
