Logic Pro tied sales to Creative Studio is both a violation of EU consumer rights laws and 100% pure theft for those who already purchased software.
I purchased Logic Pro for Macbook november 2025.
Summer 2026 I wanted to subscribe to Logic Pro for the iPad.
I found out that that is not possible.
- Apple tied the sales of Logic Pro for iPad to other products I don't need in Creative Studio which is besides poor ethics and customer disrespect i.m.o also a blunt violation of what is considered unfair business to consumer commercial practices according to Directive 2005/29/EC https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A32005L0029&qid=1787838338762
- Furthermore it is plain theft, as this tied in sales requires me to pay for Logic Pro which I just bought again.
I reached out to Apple, but Apple does not seem to have procedures in place to warn them about violating laws and take proper action accordingly.
So instead of only having to bring my tablet to band rehearsel to play a backing track, I also have to bring my MacBook. That's the Apple service for purchasing over 10K€ hardware and software.
Did anyone find a solution for this malpractice?
