Matter over Thread devices show 'Not Supported' in Apple Home on iPad Mini

I have three smart devices (two Aqara bulbs and one Eve Energy plug) that show a status of "Not Supported" in Apple Home. These devices are Matter over Thread. The rub is that it only shows this status on my iPad Mini (26.6.1). My iPhone 17 (26.6.1) and Mac Studio (26.5.2) show it as connected and it can be controlled. Things I tried.

  1. Rebooting the iPad Mini
  2. Rebooting my Apple TVs and Home Pods.
  3. Power cycling the three devices

I've seen a lot of Apple Home issues but this status is a first. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the response. These Aqara T2 bulbs have been working fine for over a year. Interesting that an Eve Outlet is also showing not supported. I wonder if the database on the iPad got corrupted. My solution was to remove the three devices and re-add them. All three devices are now back on the iPad Mini.

Seems the Aqara bulbs are not listed in Apple's Lighting accessories for "Home".

Re: "These devices are Matter over Thread".

Wondering which app you are using to control your Matter accessories:

Apple Support's article (link below) may have some useful tips:

Pair and manage your Matter accessories - Apple Support

Eg: says:

  • "Paired Matter accessories sync using iCloud Keychain regardless of which device or app you used to set them up, so you can view all of your paired Matter accessories in one place. Open the Settings app, select General, select Matter, then select Accessories."

There is much more info. in the linked article above.
