iTunes on Windows 11 not syncing with iPhone 17 Pro Max

I'm running iTunes (version 12.13.10.3) on a Windows 11 laptop. A few days ago iTunes stopped automatically syncing my iTunes library with my iPhone 17 Pro Max after importing CDs into iTunes on the laptop. Both the laptop and the iPhone are on the same home network. When I tried troubleshooting using information I found in searches, I discovered that iTunes does not recognize my iPhone 17 Pro Max when connected to my laptop via USB-C cable or WiFi. I don't know if that could be the problem or not, though I'm unable to find a solution to that issue.

The first thing I’d change here is the Windows app you’re using. Apple now uses the Apple Devices app on Windows 11 to recognize, manage, and sync an iPhone.

Install/open Apple Devices, connect the iPhone with a USB-C cable that supports data, unlock the iPhone, and tap Trustif prompted. Once it appears in the sidebar, you can enable Show this iPhone when on Wi-Fi and automatic syncing. Wi-Fi syncing has to be set up from a wired connection first.

For music syncing, Apple also requires the Apple Music app on Windows now. Your imported CDs can remain in your local music library and be synced from there.

If Apple Devices still doesn’t see the iPhone over USB, I’d try another known-good data cable and another USB port before troubleshooting Wi-Fi syncing.

I am an amateur

... smarter folks will hopefully jump in but the first thing I would do is

inspect my list of installed programs and see if any/all of the following are

installed:

1. Apple Music

2. Apple TV

3. Apple Devices for Windows

If they are installed, uninstall them, reboot, and try again

These three programs interfere with iTunes.

I still no go, uninstall & reinstall iTunes

There are two versions of iTunes. The Microsoft Store version & the stand-alone installer...

I'm not sure which is more reliable. This thread may be helpful:
