Changing Apple Watch workout date and time stamp

Apple Watch 11 running 26.6. Is there any way to change the actual date/time stamp for an apple watch workout? For example, I often forget to hit “pause” mid workout or “end workout” when I get home. It would be grand to be able to sync the action with reality after the fact, not when I tardily remember to “resume” or the watch pings me. The result would also be much more accurate.

You can add workout data manually, and delete the wrong data after that. If you do that within 24 hours after the workout, it will also effect your Activity Rings.

Manage Health data on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch - Apple Support

In case of an Outdoor Walk, for example, open the Health App -> Activity -> Workouts -> tap on the (+) icon in the right above corner, choose "Walking" and fill in the data for calories, distance, Start and End of the workout.

Then tap on the blue button in the right above corner to add the workout to Health.

After that you should see the result added to the Fitness App and the Activity Rings on your watch and iPhone.
