Iphone storage problems

I have an Iphone 12 with 256GB of storage. Of that 110 GB are free. I have recently been receiving an error message stating that it can't be synched because there is not enough storage space. This makes no sense to me can I get some help? Thanks

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 26

It doesn't matter how much space is available on your iPhone. What you're being told is you don't have enough space in iCloud to sync your data. Everyone is given 5GB of free space in iCloud with their Apple Account. Once you've used up that space, you need to rent more space. If you open Settings > Tap your name at the top > Tap iCloud, you'll see how much space you've used out of how much total space you have in ICloud. I'm sure you'll see you've used all the space you had and you need to buy more space, which you can see how to do here --> Buy iCloud+ or upgrade your current storage plan - Apple Support

It sounds like you are running low on iCloud storage – storage on Apple's servers used for synchronization and for iPhone / iPad backups. Apple gives you 5 GB of that type of storage for free, but that's really just a taste to show you what iCloud can do.

Once you start storing much data (especially photos and videos), 5 GB isn't enough – and if you want to continue enjoying the convenience of iCloud, you must pay for more iCloud storage.

This article will tell you how to check iCloud storage and device storage on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac - and how to purchase or upgrade an iCloud+ plan, if you choose to do so.
