Siri not completing tasks when connected to CarPlay

When asking I ask for directions or information to Siri while connected to Car Play, she will think and start to respond but then cut out after a few seconds. Volume isn’t the issue. I’ve noticed it primarily when directions are engaged through multiple platforms (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze) but sometimes she will also cut off incoming text messages as well. It just started a few months ago. I connect via USB and the car is a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Any ideas?

Yes. As your iPhone 13 could be 5 years old, it's worth checking for a weak, aging battery (which can cause various issues.) So...

Does your iPhone 13 still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging

Yes. 72% is not healthy and is probably the reason for the issue with Siri. Apple suggests having the battery replaced at around 80% – so have the weak, aging battery replaced and all will be well:
