AIR PRINT AND ANOTHER SOFTWARE

I have air print on all my computers and printers, however it seems like I loose setting that I need using this method. I cannot always use best or else when printing photos with my printers. It their a way to have more features using air print? Can I add another printer wirelessly and have more options using the printers software? If so how?

Yes. AirPrint can expose fewer printer-specific options than the manufacturer’s own Mac driver/software.

On your Mac, go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners, remove the printer, then add it again. When adding it, check the Use menu. If your printer manufacturer’s software appears there, select that instead of AirPrint. Apple specifically recommends this when the options you need aren’t available in the Print dialog.

You can still use the printer wirelessly; using the manufacturer’s driver doesn’t necessarily mean using a cable.

I’d check the printer manufacturer’s website first to make sure they offer a current macOS 15 driver for your exact model. If you post the printer make and model, that would help narrow down which options are available.
