That message points to a connection problem with the account that contains the Personal calendar, rather than the Calendar app itself.
I’d start with View > Refresh Calendars (or press Command-R). Apple also recommends checking your internet connection when Calendar shows a warning that it can’t connect to the calendar account. Refresh calendars on Mac - Apple Support
If it comes right back, open Calendar > Settings > Accounts, select the account that contains “Personal,” and check whether that account shows any sign-in or server error. Change Accounts settings in Calendar on Mac - Apple Support
I wouldn’t remove the account yet. Which service is that calendar using — iCloud, Google, Exchange, or something else?
