Recurring events not deleting in Google Calendar after Apple/Google Calendar sync

Hi! I am working with a synced Apple (work) and Google (personal) calendar, primarily using the Google calendar. I've had some problems in the past with items being moved on the Apple calendar not moving accordingly on Google. One of the recurring events that has been moved on the Apple calendar won't move on the Google calendar, so I deleted the event from Apple and created a new event. However, the old recurring event didn't delete, and can't be deleted from the Apple or Google side. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot this?

I’d first find out which calendar actually owns that recurring event.

Open the old event and check the Calendar field. If it belongs to Google, delete the series from Google Calendar itself rather than from Apple Calendar. Google notes that only the event owner gets all of the recurring-event deletion options, and deleting something you don’t own may only remove it from your own view.

If it’s definitely a Google-owned event and still won’t disappear, try deleting All events in the series from Google Calendar on the web, then close and reopen Apple Calendar to force a refresh.

I wouldn’t remove and re-add either calendar account yet. The important part is identifying which account owns the stuck series first.
