Logic Pro 12.3.1 unable to locate audio files

An upgrade to Logic Pro has resulted in my Logic pro files to blow up (not sure if it was when it went from vrs. 7 to vrs. 8?) When I try to open an existing project a window appears with a tab "Audio File Not Found": it reads...

[ The audio file "xxxxxx_ext.wav" was not found in its expected location:

[ Users > (me) > Music > Logic > xxxxxx > Audio Files

[ You can now 'Locate that file manually, let Logic 'Search' it on all mounted Volumes, 'Skip' only this file,

as close as it appears on my MacBookPro running Tahoe 26.3.1

Just about any file I've created in Logic Pro which I try to open is met with this window. I suspect those files in Logic Pro to which I imported audio information from other apps, like GuitarPro8, may be most affected. The missing files can be anywhere in Logic and I have quite a few... locating them is a nightmare. What happened? Has anyone else had this problem. I stopped using Logic Pro from trying to repair the folders, like finding a needle in a haystack. I'd like to get it working again, I have some compositions dear to me, which I'd like to work on again.

Current version of Logic Pro 12.3.1.
