iPhone XR battery drainage issues

I have the iPhone XR, on iOS 18, and the battery drains so fast. Before I left the house, my battery was at %60-70. I was using Spotify and Google Maps mostly, and now it’s at 15%. The battery health is 84%. I am a heavy phone user, but even when I’m not using it with the screen off, the battery still drains. When battery save mode is on, it still drains. Is this expected of a phone made from 2018-19? What can I do to make the battery last longer between charges? I just think this is kind of insane.

Original battery? You have done extremely well, but the battery is now heading downhill at an accelerating rate.

Even if you got one of the last XR iPhones coming off the production line, your battery has been working hard for at least 5 years and probably significantly longer.

The battery was designed to go 2-3 years depending on how heavy the owner was using the iPhone.

At this point, you are not really going to be able to prolong the battery life at all. Make sure that the battery is set up to use Optimized Battery Charging and that you are connecting the charger to the phone at night and leaving it connected all night....every night.

Replace the battery when the Maximum Capacity is down to 80%. That will likely be in a few months.
