LUTS from FC camera app

I just moved over from the Blackmagic app to Final Cut Camera app. It is working fine but I am confused. If I shoot with Log 2 with Rec 709 LUT applied when I import to my desktop, image is flat, no LUT. But, when I import the clip to Final Cut Pro, LUT is applied. Is that right? I did not need to do anything. I like it but is that normal?
