Unable to sign in to iTunes account on Windows PCs
Unable to sign in to iTunes account on Windows PCs.
I'm an occasional user of iTunes and recently realised that I am unable to sign in to my account. That led me to check other family members and found we have the same issue on a laptop with Windows 10 and 2 - desktops which are running Win 11.
When trying to sign in to my account in iTunes I get: "There was a temporary problem completing your request. The requested resource was not found." Sometimes it also includes 301.
I can sign in to my Apple account in a browser and on iPhone or iPad with no issues.
I have tried a number of different things on but nothing makes any difference:
Checked date, time and regional settings (I'm in the UK).
Disabled antivirus and firewall.
Tried logging in using an deliberately wrong password which is recognised as being incorrect so must be connecting to Apple servers.
Uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes as well as installing an older version.
Tested with both Microsoft store and downloaded versions of iTunes.
Checked Apple's service status.
Re-booted router.
Tested on ethernet and wi-fi.
Connected to a neighbour's wi-fi network which is with a different internet service provider.
I want to continue using iTunes, particularly as I have a collection of CDs and want to be able to add them directly to iTunes, but this is causing me a great deal of frustration.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
