Which MacBook is best for photo editing?
What macbook should i go for if part of its usage was for photo editing?

I would suggest a M5 MacBook Air, or M5-series MacBook Pro. Make sure to get enough RAM and internal SSD storage – as you cannot expand either after purchase. If the Certified Refurbished section of Apple's online store has any M4-series MacBook Airs and Pros, you could also take a look at them.
You may want to check with vendors or users of the photo editing software you plan to run.
If you are going to be doing much of your photo editing at home, or in an office, I'd suggest getting an external 27" or 32" monitor with
- An IPS panel. (OLED panels might also be good, but you want to avoid TN panels, since they are more likely to exhibit color shifts when viewed from an angle).
- 100% or near-100% coverage of sRGB.
- Optionally: 100% or near-100% coverage of wide gamuts: DCI-P3 and/or Adobe RGB.
- Optionally: Support for hardware calibration (although if you are doing the sort of professional photography, or advanced amateur photography, where you care about this, you probably know more about this than I do).
27" 5K monitors (like the 27" Apple Studio Display) are still pretty expensive, although I believe that there are some third-party ones now for under $800 USD (if you have a Mac that can drive them).
27" 4K monitors are a dime a dozen, and you can get some that have good specifications for less than $500 USD.
