Unable to cancel AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss before renewal

I bought my iPhone last year with AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss in the US, and the plan is now coming up for renewal.

In Settings, I can see a message saying that I have not finished setting up AppleCare+. When I tap Finish Setup, it just opens an empty subscription window with nothing I can manage or cancel.

At the same time, I’ve received an email from Apple confirming that the AppleCare+ plan is going to renew, so it clearly appears to be active.

The problem is that I cannot find any way to cancel it. It doesn’t appear as a manageable subscription in Settings, and I can’t find anywhere on the Apple website to cancel it either.

I’m currently in Portugal, and the support phone option I can find is only in Portuguese, which makes resolving this by phone impossible.

Has anyone had the same issue? Is there another way to access and cancel an AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss plan before it renews?

Thanks!

You can try logging in to Cancel your plan online in your Subscriptions and see if you can find the plan there.

or at Cancel your plan online with Report a Problem

Also make sure the Apple Account being used on your device is th one you started the Apple Care+ plan on originally.
