My 2¢ fwiw:

On the bias spectrum, any publication like the one linked above (ie, issued by an entity such as a publicly traded tech company) likely resides on the subjective end. It should be evaluated in light of likely inherent bias.

To balance your student’s analysis, I recommend using a second source that originates from the more objective end of the bias spectrum. The Electronic Frontiers Foundation is a highly credible public service research org. They publish a plethora of analyses & reports on their website. (This would be my ‘objective resource’ recommendation.)

PS In case you’re as chronically overworked and under-appreciated as your US counterparts, just a quick thx for your service.
