Yahoo Mail not working with Apple Mail on Mac Neo

Recently purchased a Mac Neo and am having trouble getting Yahoo Mail to work with Apple Mail application. Yahoo Mail works just fine on my Mac desktop, my iPhone and my iPad, but can't add it to the Neo. Some sources recommend creating a 16 digit application password in Yahoo specifically for Apple Mail. I've done that, but this special password isn't accepted when trying to create the new account on the Neo..... All other email applications work fine, but my Yahoo account (like a lot of folks) is my oldest and most used account. What am I missing with the set up process?

Troubleshooting Yahoo! Mail:

A. Use of a New App Password:

An App Password is unique a for each device. Sometimes, changes (i.e. updates) are made to the device, and then mail server syncing becomes an issue (which is what a new App Password is intended to fix). So, try a second one.

B. Turn Off ALL VPNs:

Have any VPNs turned on? If so, turn them off. Delete them, if not required for work or school.

C. Use the Yahoo Mail App.

If downloading through Mail does not work, then try using the provider's Mail app.
