MacBook trade-in not received, tracking number unavailable

I have traded in my old MacBook in exchange for a new one. I put the old MacBook in the trade in box, added the label and set up Royal Mail colleciton. My old MacBook was collected by Royal Mail on 25/08/26, but I received a message 04/09/26 that it has not yet been received but the Apple partner. I do not have the tracking number. How can I follow this? Does Apple have the tracking number linked to the trade-in?

if you did not trade it in over the counter at an Apple store the

Trade in partners /recycling is third party, no Apple does not track...

'Delete'-ing an email from the inbox in Apple Mail with the delete icon moves that email from Inbox to the email Trash folder, generally NOT shown at top level in Mail. Trash folder typically sits ON THE SERVER for 30 days before deleting automatically on most Mail services.

Are you actually in the habit of deliberately emptying Mail Trash using

Mail > Mailbox> ERASE Deleted Items ??

It requires extra steps that are unlikely if you are a casual user of Apple mail.
