For a MacBook running macOS 13.7 Ventura with a Canon TS5300-series printer using AirPrint, a Canon printer driver is generally not required.

First, make sure the Mac and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Go to Apple menu >> System Settings >> Printers & Scanners

If the Canon is already listed, remove it and add it again.

When adding it, select the TS5300 series and, if offered, check that Use is set to AirPrint or Secure AirPrint.

If the printer does not appear, check its network connection and AirPrint/Bonjour settings.

Canon identifies Bonjour as being used for AirPrint.

If removing and re-adding the printer does not resolve the problem, Reset Printing System in macOS is another option, after which the printer can be added again using AirPrint.

Apple: Add a printer to your printer list

Apple: Reset the printing system
