Cannot sign into Itunes or Apple Music after W11 reinstall

I need to reinstall Windows 11 and since then I canot sign into ITunes or Apple Music. I've run through every possible fix provided by CoPilot to the point where there is nothing else to test. This is a summary of where I have got to:

Windows 11 25H2 (Build 26200.9278).

Apple ID works in browsers and on Apple websites.

Microsoft Store versions of Apple Music, Apple Devices and iTunes all fail with Error 301 during sign-in.

Same issue occurs on hotspot and home network.

Same issue occurs in a brand-new Windows user account.

SFC and DISM completed successfully.

No proxy configured.

Apple servers reachable on TCP 443.

Can anyone help?

The fact that you are experiencing an Error 301 across multiple standalone Apple applications (iTunes, Apple Music, and Apple Devices) while your browser logins work perfectly points to an issue with how Windows handles embedded authentication.

An HTTP 301 error signifies a "Moved Permanently" redirect. Because you are on a Windows 11 Insider Preview build (25H2, Build 26200.9278), this error usually indicates that the integrated Windows login container—which modern Microsoft Store apps use to render Apple’s sign-in page is failing to process Apple’s secure authentication redirect token.

The modern Microsoft Store versions of Apple Music and iTunes share an underlying sandbox and authentication framework. You can completely bypass this system by switching to Apple's legacy, standalone Win32 installer.

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps and uninstall Apple Music, Apple Devices, and the Microsoft Store version of iTunes. [
  2. Download the standalone desktop installer directly from Apple's servers instead of the store:
