Deleting spam calendar event on iPhone

I have a spam individual event added to my calendar on iPhone. It has the usual threats about blocking my account. If I click on it there is no delete button - so the advice about clicking on it and then clicking delete twice is of no help. I have looked for unusual subscribed calendars and have found one - but again, when I click on the information button I get a screen with no 'delete calendar' button, so I cannot delete it. When I try by going via settings>calendars the rogue calendar isn't visible to select and delete. Any ideas on what to do?

To remove a hidden or stubborn spam calendar subscription that does not show up under standard settings, check your device's main Apps or Accounts configuration list where rogue profiles often hide.

Check Alternative Settings Locations

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and tap Apps, then select Calendar (on older iOS versions, tap Calendar directly from the main Settings page).
  3. Tap Calendar Accounts or Accounts.
  4. Look for Subscribed Calendars and tap it.
  5. Select the rogue calendar, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account.
