Green dot on left of phone that gets really hot

I have an iPhone 15 and last night a green dot appeared in the upper left corner of my phone. That same spot gets really hot to the point I can’t even touch it, only that corner though. I shut it off and once I turn it back on that same corner starts getting hot while powering on. Only thing I can think of is water damage from my toddler. Could it be that or is there something else it could be?

If there is water damage, the phone is basically unrepairable. Apple won't try to fix a phone which has any liquid caused damage. Schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for your options, but if it is determined the phone's liquid sensors have been tripped, they'll likely offer to just recycle the phone and sell you a new one.

Schedule an appointment here (I would not use the phone until you've had it checked out as it could be a fire hazard) --> Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple
