Installment Payment with Apple Card on Apple Store not working on iOS

I was not able to complete an Apple Store purchase on my iPhone with finance in installments through my Apple Card. The Apple Pay feature kept rejecting the purchase. I then tried online on my Mac and the transaction went through without a hitch. I am not using private browsing and I have updated the latest iOS version.
