How to use Apple Watch music recognition without Shazam?

Is there any way to use iWatch music recognition without shazam? The particulars: Series 10, running v26.5, and due for an update I just learned. Shazam’s REQUIRED waivers for employing music recognition seem unnecessarily invasive. Is there any way to use music recognition without forking over my info to some nebulous app?

Well Apple bought Shazam in 2018 so it’s not some nebulous app and is now part of the Apple ecosystem. The answer your question then is no, you can’t avoid Shazam.
